In Kerala’s hilly regions, farmers battle the smaller wildlife

At an ongoing mitigation drive of the Forest dept. in Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, and Ernakulam, most of the 1,255 complaints received hitherto pertain to attack on farmlands by animals such as Bonnet Macaques, Malabar Giant Squirrels, and wild pigs.
